Password protection is now available for Hidden and Recently Deleted albums.

The Hidden album in the Photos app is clearly not hidden, as you can easily find it and it is not practical for effectively hiding private photos and videos. Apple offers an option to make the Hidden Album “invisible” however, anyone with access to it can see everything within and make it visible again.

iOS 16 lets you lock the Hidden album. You don’t actually need to do anything else to turn this feature on. To check it out start the Photos app and select the Albums tab at the bottom of screen. If you scroll down, you’ll notice an unassuming lock next to the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums. Face ID or your passcode are required to view the contents.

Share and view saved Wi-Fi passwords Apple has allowed iOS users to share Wi-Fi passwords for some time however, only by placing two Apple devices near each other. If that feature doesn’t work, you can’t just pull the password out of your settings. You needed to know the password in order to share your Wi-Fi password with another person like an Android user or someone using PC. Until now.

In Settings In Settings, select Wi-Fi, and then tap the tiny icon of information just to the right of the network that you would like to change the password for. To view the password for the network you need to tap the Password section and then make use of Face ID or enter your passcode to look it up. To copy the password to your clipboard Tap Copy.

Find and eliminate duplicate images and videos. Perhaps you’ve saved the same image several times or downloaded a video more than once, and there are duplicates in your photo album. It’s not an issue if you have plenty of storage however, if you don’t, it might be an ideal idea to go back and remove every duplicate -it’s now simple to do on iOS 16.

In the Photos > Albums menu In the Albums section, you’ll see a new Duplicates album under Utilities in which Apple examines all of your photos and shows you any image or video you’ve saved more than once. From there, you can delete any duplicates, or press Merge, which will keep the image with the best quality (and relevant information) and then move the other photos to the trash.

While you’ll likely want to go through each set of duplicates, to ensure that they’re actually identical copies and not identical images, you can select Select > Select All > Merge to get rid of every single image and video that Apple considers to be duplicates in one go.

Pin your most used tabs to Safari Safari. Safari limits the number of tabs you can open to 500. If you exceed that limit, it may be difficult to locate the tab you are searching for. There’s a simpler method to locate the tab you’re looking for rather than scrolling through endlessly.

If you click on an open tab in Safari You will then be able to hit Pin Tab. Offtopichut This will move the tab to the top of Safari, where it will appear as a tiny preview of the tab permanently pinned, which you can then tap to view.

If you press down and unpin the tab, it will move to first in your grid of open tabs.
